Frequently Asked Questions
We may have your question already answered below, but if we don’t, please reach out to us! We are happy to help.
Getting Started
Getting started is simple. You can reach out through our contact form, and we will guide you through the next steps, including gathering information, coordinating with your support coordinator, and initiating the authorization process.
We serve individuals who are enrolled with the Arizona Department of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) and approved through Arizona Long Term Care (ALTCS).
If a member has private insurance as their primary insurance, we are able to work with that as well. However, DDD/ALTCS must be in place, as it is required to be billed as the secondary payer for services.
If you’re unsure about your coverage or eligibility, we are happy to help guide you through the process.
To begin services, we coordinate with your DDD support coordinator to request authorization for either an evaluation or ongoing therapy services.
If services are currently being provided by another agency, that agency will need to release the existing authorization back to DDD before a new authorization can be issued to Lauralee’s Therapy. Once authorization is in place, we can move forward with scheduling and beginning services.
We are happy to help guide families through this process and communicate with your support coordinator as needed.
This depends on your current services and authorization status. An evaluation is typically needed if services have never been established through DDD, or if a previous plan of care has expired.
If services are already in place and authorization is active, we may be able to begin ongoing services once authorization is updated to our agency.
We are happy to help review your situation and guide you through the process to determine what is needed.
In many cases, a formal diagnosis is not required to begin services. We are happy to help guide you through the process and determine what is needed based on your individual situation.
Evaluations are completed in the home and are designed to be collaborative and comfortable. We gather information from caregivers, observe the individual, and complete assessments as appropriate to develop a personalized plan of care.
Services & Approach
We serve individuals within the DDD population, supporting a range of ages and needs. Services are always tailored to the individual and their goals.
Therapy sessions are individualized, engaging, and built around each person’s interests. We incorporate play, movement, and meaningful activities when appropriate, while focusing on skills that carry over into everyday life.
Yes. All services are provided in the home environment, allowing us to work on skills where they are most meaningful and functional.
Families and caregivers are an essential part of the process. We provide ongoing communication, coaching, and support so that strategies can be carried over into daily routines.
Logistics
Frequency of services is based on individual needs and is determined following the evaluation process.
The length of therapy varies depending on individual needs, goals, and progress. We regularly reassess and adjust plans to ensure meaningful and appropriate care.
