Meet Lauralee Larkin
M.S., CCC-SLP

Owner & Founder of Lauralee’s Therapy

Growing up, Lauralee always knew she wanted to help people. In high school, Lauralee volunteered for an elderly neighbor who was homebound and had the opportunity to observe an in-home visit from an occupational therapist.  Seeing the impact this compassionate and knowledgeable therapist had on her neighbor, Lauralee applied to colleges in hopes to also have that same effect within her community.

Her passion ended up being helping others learn to communicate.

Lauralee obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2002 and her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2005 from Worcester State College, located in Worcester, Massachusetts.

After graduation in 2005, Lauralee moved to San Tan Valley, AZ, where she started her career as a Speech-Language Pathologist in public schools.

After 6 years of working in the schools, Lauralee began providing in-home services to clients eligible for services through DDD (Department of Developmental Disabilities) and/or AzEIP (Arizona Early Intervention Program).

Lauralee found working with this population in their natural home environment to be the most rewarding job ever.  She has never looked back!

Specialization

Over the last 17 years, Lauralee has worked with children of all ages and abilities; however, she specializes in children with a diagnosis of autism, and sensory feeding disorders, and takes pride in family coaching.

In addition to staying up to date with current research and practices through continuing education opportunities, Lauralee collaborates on a regular basis with a variety of other disciplines and therapists, including occupational therapists and physical therapists.

In her spare time, Lauralee enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends.
